On Thursday, December 22, the first gas
delivery to the terminal in Police will take place. This means that
the announced investment of the Police Sea Port (Zachodniopomorskie
voivodeship) will start functioning.
The day after tomorrow,
the first LPG delivery will arrive at the gas terminal at the Police
Sea Port. 23 thousand tons of propane will be used for the production
of polymers in the new factory of Grupa Azoty. The raw material will
arrive on the 179 m long gas carrier Guadalupe Explorer. The vessel
is currently en route between Sweden and Denmark.
Meanwhile, the construction of the
Polimery Police factory is close to completion. The investment,
carried out by Grupa Azoty, will develop the petrochemical market in
Poland. The plant will produce three types of polypropylene
(homopolymers, impact copolymers and random copolymers) - a
semi-finished product necessary for the production of e.g. plastic.
The opening of the investment is currently scheduled for the first
quarter of 2023.
In connection with the opening of the Port
Police investment, the construction of a new railway line is also
waiting. Already in 2020, Multiconsult signed a contract with PKP for
the construction of new tracks leading directly to the Port. Line 437
will be built thanks to EU funding of almost EUR 3.5 million. As part
of this amount, a viaduct will also be built over the national road
No. 114. PKP, quoted by the Rynek Infrastruktury website, informs
that the investment is also to be carried out in the first quarter of
2023.
