According to the contractor, the progress of works on the expansion site of the LNG terminal in Świnoujście is 90%.
The works in Świnoujście are carried out by a consortium consisting of PORR and TGE Gas Engineering GmbH. The expected completion date is the second half of this year. According to the information provided to the media, the current progress of works reaches 90%. A large part of the most important tasks has already been completed.
One of the most important elements of the expansion of the LNG terminal is the construction of a new reloading berth for smaller vessels, such as bunker or feeder vessels. The loading platform is ready, equipped with the necessary fender dolphins, mooring dolphins and communication platforms. The new quay with the third LNG storage tank will be connected by a pipeline constructed on a 250-meter-long flyover. The flyover is arranged on piles on which reinforced concrete beams have been installed. On them, in turn, a steel supporting structure will be placed under the reinforced concrete channel of technological pipelines.
As part of the expansion, work is also underway on the swimming pool itself, which is being deepened to 14.5 meters. The dredging works related to the extension and deepening of the turntable in the external port in Świnoujście have already been completed.
