Stena Estelle, Stena Line's new ferry, will enter the Gdynia-Karlskrona line on Sunday, September 4.
Stena Line's new ferry, a
240-meter-long E-Flexer class vessel, will make its inaugural voyage
on the Gdynia-Karlskrona line on Sunday, September 4.
Stena Estelle is already in
Tri-City. The ferry is undergoing final preparations to begin regular
service at the Remontowa Shipyard in Gdansk, where it arrived from a
shipyard in China, picking up cargo that had come off the hold in the
Netherlands along the way. Stena Estelle's first departure is
scheduled for September 4 at 21:00 from Gdynia, and the new ship's
schedule is now available for booking.
- We are very pleased to
unveil the new ferry Stena Estelle, which will expand our offerings
for both freight and passenger customers. This brand-new ship is the
most modern in our fleet and is unrivaled in terms of capacity,
performance and service. With such new ferries as Stena Estelle and
its twin vessel Stena Ebba, which will arrive in Poland this
November, we are opening up new opportunities not only for the
development of our company and the Gdynia-Karlskrona line, but also
for the development of our customers' businesses in this part of
Europe - said Marek Kiersnowski, managing director of Stena Line
Poland.
The Stena Estelle and the
twin ship Stena Ebba are the two largest E-Flexer ferries yet built.
Each is 240 meters long, offering 263 cabins, space for 1,200
passengers and a cargo capacity of 3,600 meters. The new vessels will
provide increased capacity on the Gdynia-Karlskrona route in response
to increased customer demand for transport in the southern and
eastern Baltic.
