All construction permits for Baltic Pipe gas compressor stations obtained

GAZ-SYSTEM has received permits for extending gas compressor stations in Goleniów and Odolanów as well as for construction of an entirely new gas compressor station in Gustorzyn.

On 10 February 2020, the Governor of Greater Poland (Wielkopolskie) province issued the approval for the Construction Permit Design and granted the permit for extending the Gas Compressor Station in Odolanów.

Under the Greater Poland Governor’s decision, the investment will comprise extension of Odolanów Gas Compressor Station along with its accompanying infrastructure, redevelopment of the DN 200 MOP 6.4 MPa gas pipeline as well as redevelopment and construction of the installations on the premises of Local Operational Unit and Gas Transmission Hub in Odolanów commune in Ostrów Wielkopolski District.

On 5 February 2020, the Governor of Kujawsko-Pomorskie province issued the construction permit for the gas compressor station in Gustorzyn. The new facility will be the only compressor station built from scratch by GAZ-SYSTEM within the Polish part of Baltic Pipe.

Gustorzyn Compressor Station is an important component in the ongoing extension and modernisation of the national gas transmission system. Thanks to its location, it will regulate gas flow in central Poland. The new compressor station will be constructed not only to be used for gas transmission within the Baltic Pipe project, but also in view of the future gas interconnector between Poland and Lithuania.

On 28 January 2020, the Governor of West Pomerania province issued a decision approving extension of the Gas Compressor Station in Goleniów. The approved Construction Permit Design provides for implementation of the investment in two stages:

– stage 1 will cover extension of Goleniów Gas Compressor Station by adding three compressor units with a combined power of 25 MW, redevelopment of the technological objects on the premises of the existing compressor station, construction of new objects and compressor station infrastructure;
– stage 2 will cover extension by adding one 5 MW compressor unit.
