Quiet in use, without bothersome vibrations, efficient and technically advanced - such engines are ideal for owners of recreational vessels. This solution is also sought by builders of luxury and personalized catamarans, including the well-known in Poland Sunreef Yachts. During the construction of the modern 80 Sunreef Power model, which we visited with a camera, the company decided to cooperate with the distributor and warranty and post-warranty service technician of MAN Truck & Bus marine high-speed diesel engines - the Gdansk company Poweras.
- The 80 Sunreef Power unit is a recreational catamaran, on which we have installed two MAN V8-1200 engines with a capacity of 1200 HP each. These engines are equipped with modern common rail fuel technology that allows the unit to accelerate to a speed of about 22 knots without causing large vibrations and nuisance noise All this makes them perfect for use on recreational vessels - says Tomasz Szulc from Poweras.
- The 12 meter wide catamaran is an unparalleled combination of performance and comfort. 80 Sunreef Power is a versatile and modern yacht designed for deep sea voyages. The dynamic and elegant model combines comfort and exceptional seaworthiness, redefining the concept of luxury power catamaran. such as stylish edging, teak deck, high bulwarks and discreet lighting give the unit a unique character to the sporty silhouette - said the producers.
The vessel we visited with our camera is intended for a customer from China. It was ordered last year and was shipped to Asia at the end of August.
- MAN offers us some of the best engines that we can use. They have excellent customer recommendations and meet all our requirements, such as: high technical advancement or engine work culture. Despite the difficult situation related to the coronavirus, the company does everything to ensure that we meet the quality and deadlines parameters, which is very important to us - admits Piotr Czyż from Sunreef Yachts.
The 80 Sunreef Power vessel is 24 meters long and 12 meters wide. It can accommodate 12 guests on board. Noteworthy, among other things, is the spectacular owner cabin, located in the bow part of the main deck. Apart from a large bed overlooking the terrace, its space is filled with a wardrobe, desk and bathroom. Glazing in the ceiling gives the interior lightness and brings natural light inside. The place of the owner's cabin can also be used for a comfortable relaxation zone with spacious sofas and easy access to the deck.
The saloon of the craft opens wide aft, connecting to the cockpit, equipped with comfortable seats and a bar. This creates a bright, well-connected, semi-open space perfect for relaxing at sea. The living room can also accommodate a fully equipped kitchen and an internal wheelhouse.
Poweras is a company operating in the industrial sector. The main element of its activity is the distribution, warranty and post-warranty service of MAN Truck & Bus high-speed marine diesel engines.
