The first five months of 2017 have yielded great cargo handling results for the Port of Gdynia. The dynamically developing trans-shipment levels between January and May gave the Port of Gdynia first place among all Polish ports.
The 218% growth dynamics in oil and oil-derivative handlings, when compared to the corresponding months of the last year, must be especially emphasised. More grain, wood, coal, coke and general cargo was handled in comparison to the first five months of 2016.
“Our very good cargo handling numbers show that the Port of Gdynia has a good brand and is known for the high quality and efficiency of its cargo handling services,” emphasised Mr. Adam Meller, CEO of the Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. “With this being said, 2017 looks like another year for record results. What needs to be emphasised is that the efficient handling of cargo and ships at the Gdynia terminals is the result of the effective work of managers and their highly trained teams.”
