OT Port Świnoujście and the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority have signed a promised contract for the lease of the property on which the terminal operations are carried out.
The agreement concluded on 20.09.2023 between the Szczecin and Swinoujscie Seaport Authority and OT Port Swinoujscie, a subsidiary of OT Logistics, is an annex to the current lease agreement (dated 12.09.1994) and provides, among other things, for an extension to 30 years of the term of the lease of the property on which the terminal's operations are carried out, which increases the stability of OT Port Swinoujscie's operations and definitely facilitates further investment decisions.
"Port assets are now a key element of the OTL Group's operations, and seaports play a strategic role in the global economy. Ensuring the long-term continuity of operations at the Świnoujście terminal was one of our priorities this year, and this has been achieved by signing an agreement with the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaport Authority. OT Port Świnoujście handles bulk goods, which is very important from the point of view of the OTL Group and the entire Polish economy. Our recent investments, including the purchase of new cranes, the first of which has just been delivered to the port, will enable us to carry out transshipments, in addition to bulk, of heavy pieces, containers and oversized cargo," emphasised Kamil Jedynak, President of OT Logistics.
