On December 13 this year, Mostostal Pomorze SA shipped the first large mining platform module weighing approx. 530 tons to a customer from Norway. The loading was carried out using multi-axle SPMT transport platforms.
The total weight together with the
substructure and support structure to be transported was almost 800
tons, so 36 axles were used to ensure the appropriate distribution of
forces and pressures on the quay structure. This was the first
loading using SPMT in the company's history.
- Today's shipment is a very
important milestone in the implementation of the entire project and
continues the good streak of timely implementation of projects while
maintaining the highest quality and health and safety standards -
said Rafał Grabowski, project manager at Mostostal Pomorze SA.
The module being shipped is one of many elements of the project for a regular customer from the Oil & Gas sector, and the total weight of the platform will exceed 21,000 tons and it will be the largest extraction platform manufactured in Norway.
