Monika Morawiecka will be the president of PGE Baltica only until the end of the year. The head of the company responsible for the construction and implementation of two offshore wind farm projects announced her decision in social media. "After 15 years at PGE Group, the time has come (finally – as some might say :-) for me to move on" - Monika Morawiecka wrote on her LinkedIn profile.
"I have spent more time at PGE than I had ever thought I would spend with one employer. But it is no wonder. During my time here, I have witnessed - and facilitated - a transformation, which no one would have imagined when I started. From a coal-based incumbent to a company with a clear vision for a sustainable and carbon-neutral future" - wrote the president of PGE Baltica." I am proud to have been at the forefront of this change for the past three years, heading PGE Baltica".
Monika Morawiecka has been associated with the PGE group since 2006. She became the president of PGE Baltica in February 2019.
Offshore wind farms are one of the pillars of the PGE Group's strategy. PGE Baltica has prepared projects for the construction of three offshore wind farms with a total capacity of nearly 3.5 thousand MW.
