A new production plant for towers and wind turbine foundations will be launched in the Port of Szczecin. The plant will be built by Spanish company Windar Renovables.
A production plant will be launched in the port of Szczecin in the
first half of 2026, where towers and wind turbine foundations for
offshore and onshore wind farms will be built. The manufactured
elements will be transported using, among others, sea transport.
The
lease agreement for port areas has just been signed by the Szczecin
and Świnoujście Seaports Authority and the leader in the offshore
industry, the Spanish company Windar Renovables, operating in Poland
through its subsidiary Windar Polska sp. z o.o. Earlier in October
last year, the contractors in this case signed a preliminary lease
agreement.
The production plant will be built on an
approximately seventeen-hectare property located in the area of the
Dębicki Canal in the Szczecin port. Ultimately, it will employ a
total of over 400 people. The value of the investment from the
Spanish company will be approximately EUR 70 million.
After
the installation terminal for servicing offshore wind farms in the
port of Świnoujście, this is the next project in the
Szczecin-Świnoujście port complex related to renewable energy
sources.
