On March 16, 2023, the Supervisory Board of the Management Board of the Port of Gdańsk Authority S.A. decided to dismiss Łukasz Greinke from the Management Board of the Port of Gdańsk Authority S.A.
Łukasz Greinke had served as the President of the Management Board of the Port of Gdańsk Authority S.A. since 2016. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Before commencing work at the Port of Gdańsk Authority S.A., he was a member of supervisory boards of companies related to the maritime economy, in particular the transport, forwarding, logistics and port operators industry. He is a socially active member of the Maritime Convention, where in the expert group he gives his opinion on the key directions of activity and development of the maritime industry. He is also a member of the National Chamber of Maritime Economy, which is a national organisation of business entities within the broadly understood maritime economy. He is also a member of the BCC Expert Forum, a prestigious business club for entrepreneurs and the country’s largest organisation of individual employers.
As the President of the Management Board, Łukasz Greinke has successfully striven to develop and professionalise the Company’s services and strengthen the Port’s position on the international market.
Thanks to his efficient management, the Port of Gdańsk is the fastest growing European port of the last decade, and the leader of the Baltic container ranking. Over the last 7 years, the value of investments carried out by the Port of Gdańsk Authority S.A., contractors, the Maritime Office and PKP PLK, has exceeded PLN 4.8 billion. Further undertakings amounting to more than PLN 4.2 billion are planned and under way.
The Supervisory Board, in accordance with its powers, did not provide a reason for its decision. In accordance with the applicable regulations, the Supervisory Board will without undue delay initiate proceedings to complete the composition of the Management Board.
