Date of publication: 17.07.2024

The Pomeranian Voivode has issued a building permit for the Bałtyk 3 offshore wind farm. The investment includes the construction of 50 wind turbines along with an internal power and telecommunications network in the Polish exclusive economic zone of the Baltic Sea.

This permit brings the developers closer to the final investment decision, which will open the way to the construction of one of the key energy investments in the region, contributing to the increase in the share of renewable sources in the Polish energy mix. The decision of the Pomeranian Voivode, issued on the basis of the provisions of the construction law and the act on the promotion of electricity generation in offshore wind farms, approves both the land development project and the architectural and construction design. The investment documentation has been thoroughly checked and approved by the relevant authorities, including the Director of the Maritime Office in Gdynia, which is confirmed by decisions regarding rescue plans and navigational and technical expertise. The full text of the decision is available for review at the Infrastructure Department of the Pomeranian Voivodeship Office in Gdańsk, as well as on the website of the office. The decision may be appealed to the Chief Inspector of Building Supervision in Warsaw, through the Pomeranian Voivode, within 14 days of the date of effective delivery of the decision.
