Bolloré Logistics, as part of its commitment to sustainable development, is taking up the initiative to reforest Africa and South America.

The Italian branch of the global transport and shipping giant, Bolloré Logistics Italy, has offered trees to its customers in 6 countries: Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Ghana, Colombia and Cameroon. Since the beginning of this year, 600 trees have already been planted as part of the project: cashews, lemons, albizzias, cocoas, markhamias and grevilleas.

The benefits are double-fold: both environmental and social. A significant element of the project is to support the transfer of knowledge and skills through the involvement of local citizens in the process of enrichment, monitoring, and protection of biodiversity.

The Bolloré Logistics Italy Forest initiative is the result of a collaboration with Treedom, the first online platform that allows remote tree planting and online monitoring of the project. Each tree has its own website with photo and geolocation data, so participants can follow the project's progress. This way, Bolloré Logistics Italy perpetuates the relationship between people and their natural surroundings.
