A component of the future passenger ship's hull, with the working name X-34, was towed from Gdynia on September 12, with the target destination being the French shipyard Chantiers de l' Atlantique, where it will be joined with other components and retrofitted.
The Megablock X-34 is the eighth project made as part of a long-standing partnership with one of the world's largest shipyards building a wide range of commercial, marine and passenger vessels. The part built at the Crist shipyard will be ready for service after being joined at the French shipyard. Crist performed the full outfitting of the project with equipment and installations: piping, ventilation, electrical and insulation. The laundry rooms have also been fully equipped with equipment and installations. A full range of painting work was also carried out.
The part of the X-34 made at the Gdynia shipyard is a megablock with a total length of more than 133 meters and a weight of about 8,000 tons. The launching of the vessel took place five days before it was towed to the customer. It is expected to arrive at its destination in two weeks, at the end of September.
